Coming from Acton:
Take Mass Ave/111 to West Acton Center. Go thru the lights and quickly take a left onto Arlington St. At the stop sign, take a right onto Summer Street. Follow Summer Street until you come to Flag Hill Rd on your left (about 3/4 mile). Go left on Flag Hill Rd. About ¾ mile on your left is Windermere.
Coming from Boxboro (west of the Hockey Rink):
From Rt. 111 heading east, take a right onto Summer Rd. About a ½ mile, take right onto Flag Hill Rd. About ¾ mile on your left is Windermere.
Some things to keep in mind:
This is a residence and the Flannerys graciously allow us to keep our equipment there. Please respect their property and their privacy.
Do not park in the drive way. Please park on Windemere Road.
We expect the players will be on their best behavior while waiting in line, while inside the barn and after picking up their equipment. All exercise equipment in the barn is off limits. All items outside the barn, the rock wall next to the barn and going beyond the barn area are off limits. Coaches will be watching.
If you are coming at night, you might want to bring a flashlight. It is dark on that street going back to your car.
We take in only a few players at a time. All other must wait in line until they are called in by your Team Mom.
It is a small area that we work in to fit the kids. We prefer that parents wait outside while the coaches fit the boys for their equipment. In they need a parent, they will come get you.
The equipment must be checked out by with your Team Mom before leaving the fitting area.
We encourage your kids to wear their equipment around the house prior to their first practice in pads on August 11th. Especially with the helmets, I always tell them to watch some TV with it on. Most helmets take some time to mold to the player’s head, so it may not feel perfect (especially if it’s their first or second year). The idea is to get them used to it and get the helmet used to them. However, if they have a lot of discomfort after 30 or 45 minutes, you may want to contact your coach and see about getting a different one.
If for some reason you can not make your assigned time, please contact your Team Mom or Head Coach and they can schedule another time for you.
